Ok, for those new to this kind of game, let me explain how the whole earning money thing is SUPPOSED to work in this game. You are SUPPOSED to tame some monsters and put them on an island you raise in the beginning of the game. Then you need to use magic on said island and cause sprouts to grow. Next you are supposed to buy monster cookies from Gemini General Store, your monsters WILL NOT grow plants without these. Finally, you are supposed to continuously brush your monsters with the brush you get inside your golem EVERY DAY. The crops will normally take a few DAYS to grow depending on what crop you are trying to grow.
I have figured out an easier and much less money-wasting solution for this.
Early on in the game you meet a girl with short, red hair named Sierra, she is a slacker and does not like to work (which pisses her brother off quite a lot). You need to get your friendship level with her up to level 1. You'll know you've accomplished this because she will ask you if you want to have fun then a cutscene will occur. You can raise your frienship level with her by talking to her at least once every day. The faster way would be to give her accessories like necklaces and pendants but that takes too much gold and you're trying to GAIN gold, not lose it.
So unfortunately you are stuck with talking to her every day until her friendship level with you goes up to 1.
Once this is done, go to the Three Sisters Inn and look on the bulletin board for a delivery request from Sierra.
Once you accept the request, go talk to Sierra and she will give you a slice of cake.
She wants you to take the cake to a girl with blue hair named Electra.
Electra is dressed like a southern belle.
DO NOT DO THIS!!!!
Instead, put the cake in your inventory, go back to the bulletin board in the Inn and cancel the request.
Accept the request again and talk to Sierra, put the cake in your inventory, rinse and repeat as many times as you desire.
I HIGHLY recommend you wait until Tuesday or Thursday when she goes to the inn. Every time you enter a building, the time on the top right stops. So wait for Sierra to go into the Three Sisters Inn to do this.
99 cakes= 80,190 gold
(When you sell it, you can also use it as a healt item, which is pretty effective early on in the game).
